Job Advert: Domestic Supervisor
Location: Royal Hospital, Liverpool
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week (may include weekends and bank holidays)
The Royal Hospital in Liverpool is looking for a committed and experienced Domestic Supervisor to join our facilities team. This crucial role will help ensure that the hospital environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming for patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of domestic staff, ensuring cleaning standards are consistently high across all hospital areas, including wards, offices, and public spaces.
- Develop and manage daily cleaning schedules to meet hospital needs.
- Monitor and support the performance of domestic staff, providing training and guidance where needed.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with infection control and health & safety standards.
- Liaise with other hospital departments to support operational requirements.
- Assist with the recruitment, induction, and ongoing development of domestic team members.
- Maintain adequate stock of cleaning supplies and ensure equipment is in good working condition.
- Be flexible in working hours, including weekends and bank holidays, to support the hospital's operational needs.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Previous supervisory experience within a cleaning or domestic services role, ideally in a healthcare or similar environment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and infection control practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
- Willingness to work weekends and bank holidays as required.
