We are currently recruiting for a Design Engineer with experience using Autocad 2D with Inventor 3D or similar to work for a manufacturing company who specialise in the supply, service and repair of high-pressure water jetting in Salisbury.
This Design Engineer position is a permanent role paying up to £42,000 per annum. You will be working Monday to Thursday 8:30am – 5pm with an early finish of 4pm on Friday,
As a Design Engineer you will be reporting to the head of department, you will be carrying out drawing updates, BOM changes and engineering calculations. Main duties will include the following:

As a Design Engineer you will be reporting to the head of department, you will be carrying out drawing updates, BOM changes and engineering calculations. Main duties will include the following:
- Carrying out drawing changes and modelling existing parts into the 3D library
- Technical calculations determining UTS of components to ensure that safety factors are maintained
- Supporting procurement by advising on purchase order technical specifications
- BOM Management
- Recording, detailing and implementing production change requests in conjunction with the production department
- Working with the quality department to ensure that quality issues are reported to the engineering department and products are continuously improved
- Technical document management in conjunction with other departments
- Applying company design standards to all processes
- Hands on building of prototype designs
We are keen to speak with candidates who have the below skills and experience
- Previous experience working as a Design Engineer with mechanical experience
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills
- A full clean driving licence is required.
- Good understanding of Autocad 2D with Inventor 3D or similar
- An interest in hydraulics and electro mechanical control systems would be an advantage
