Do you have previous experience of deburring machined component parts?
Do you have a background of working with components to high precision specifications where quality comes first?
Then please do read on, you might be just who we're looking for...
I've been appointed by a local precision engineering company to support their search for a Deburrer to join their Finishing team on a permanent basis.
The company I'm working with have been supplying precision engineered components to aerospace, oil & gas, medical and general industry for many years from their purpose built facility just off junction 9 of the M5 motorway in Tewkesbury, commutable from Gloucester, Cheltenham, Worcester and surrounding areas.
They're now in a position to take on a Deburrer to join the team on a permanent basis as the business prepares for a large growth in business over the next five years.
Experience of deburring or Finishing or CNC or manually machined metal component parts in a precision engineering environment such as aerospace, oil & gas, automotive, medical or similar is a must for this job.
You will be familiar with using hand held tools such as a scrapers, files, sandpaper, stones, reamers or handheld power tools or cutters to deburr, finish and polish machined component parts, according to engineering drawings.
Through your time working in a machine shop, you'll have developed a knowledge of different metals and how they each need a slightly different approach to get the finish you need.
Working closely with Machine Operators and Inspection Staff, you'll be checking your work throughout the deburring process too so you'll need to be familiar with using standard measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers and depth gauges with minimal supervision.
If you have experience of bead blasting components, honing or lapping this would be ideal but these can be trained if you've never done this type of work before.
