Our client, a world leading engineering company, have a fantastic opportunity to join their team as a Machinist Team Leader on their Night Shift. You will lead a CNC machine area and play a key role in the success of this company. They are seeking a true leader who can motivate and inspire his / her team.

You’ll be responsible for:
·         Provide clear direction, instruction and guidance to the team of machinists and allocate tasks on a daily basis which includes a working knowledge of departmental roles
·         Setting and adhering to production plans
·         Daily administrative tasks and reporting including coordinating machine repairs and service schedule
·         Delivering high quality products on time that meet customer requirements
·         Conduct, manage and organise training/ feedback/ appraisals and reviews including return to works (RTWs)
·         Maximising the contribution of all team members
·         Creating a safe working environment
·         Create a culture of continual improvement
Experience Requirements:
  • To perform their role effectively, production team leaders are expected to have strong leadership skills, being able to listen, direct, advise, challenge, correct, motivate, and praise team members to achieve the performance targets of the business
  • To engage with their teams to effectively communicate the requirements of the business, empowering team members to improve machining methods and processes continuously and proactively
  • People management experience is essential
  • Background with machining and understanding of technical drawings
  • Experience of working with an MRP system
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office packages

Hours of Work:
Monday to Thursday 6pm – 6am
38.75 base hours per week with 9.25 hours compulsory overtime (paid overtime)
