PERMANENT ROLE - 48 HOURS WEEK – ADR - £37,652.28pa

We are looking to recruit Class 1 ADR Drivers to support our growing team at our site in Southampton.

  • £37,652.28pa – Salary

  • Rest day working and overtime paid at basic hourly rate

  • Contracted to 48 hours on a 3, 4 or 5 out of 7 Contract


Shift Pattern:

Week 1 – 3 days (Tuesday, Wednesday & Saturday) starting between 0400 – 0600
Week 2 – 4 days (Sunday, Monday, Thursday & Friday) starting between 0400 – 0600
Week 3 – 5 nights (Monday to Friday) starting between 1600 – 1800

Potential – up to £1000 annual bonus based on no accidents and no unauthorised absence

Your Role:

  • Reporting to the Location Operations Manager.

  • Working on a 3 day / 4 day / 5-night rotational shift pattern.

  • Completion of appropriate paperwork to ensure that delivery facilities are completed effectively, in a timely manner and with 100% accuracy

  • To carry out deliveries to both the customer and contractual service level requirements

  • To ensure contractual KPI’s over delivery of product are undertaken in both a legally compliant and health and safety manner.

  • Working a guaranteed average basic of 48 hours per week

  • The volumes of work may fluctuate with “operational” peaks

  • The role itself will be rewarding in a challenging environment


Experience and Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence

  • Must hold a valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC Card)

  • Must hold a Digital Tachograph card

  • Must not have more than 6 points on your licence

  • Must have Class 3 ADR in Tanks – Flammable liquids

  • Must have a valid Petroleum Driver Passport (PDP)

  • Commercial delivery experience desirable

  • You will need to be enthusiastic and motivated to ensure that loads are effectively delivered with 100% accuracy

  • Working knowledge of driver’s hours and transport procedures

  • Be flexible and have an eye for attention to detail in paperwork

  • Be an effective communicator within the transport team

  • Be a team player and work with the operational staff and liaise with customers
