Location: NHS Derby and Derbyshire ICB (Hybrid Working)
Rate: Up to £850 per day
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Flexible) Contract Term: 3 months (Potential for Extension) Start Date: ASAP Interview Method: Microsoft Teams
NHS Derby and Derbyshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team on a temporary basis. This is a crucial role to support the financial leadership of our organization, ensuring sound financial management and strategic decision-making to deliver quality healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all financial operations of the ICB, ensuring compliance with NHS financial regulations.
- Provide strategic financial leadership, supporting the Board in making informed decisions regarding resource allocation and financial planning.
- Develop and implement financial policies, strategies, and procedures to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor financial performance, preparing detailed reports and financial forecasts for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other senior leaders to ensure the financial sustainability of the ICB, while maintaining a focus on improving healthcare outcomes.
- Manage relationships with key external partners, including NHS England and local authorities, to secure funding and resources.
- Lead and manage a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience in senior financial leadership roles, ideally within the NHS or a public sector environment.
- Strong knowledge of NHS finance and the regulatory frameworks governing financial management in healthcare.
- Proven ability to provide strategic financial advice and lead complex financial planning processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex financial information clearly.
- Flexibility to work in a hybrid environment, with both in-office and remote working arrangements.
