Do you hold a CIPS qualification? Are you experienced in project management and purchasing? We have an exciting opportunity for a Category Buyer to join a leading manufacturing company based in Rocester, Staffordshire. This role is offering a salary of up to £50k, plus benefits!
As Category Buyer you would be contributing to the creation and execution of category strategies within the Purchasing Team. You would be responsible for the New Product Introduction Process, ensuring supplier engagement and negotiating cost. You will also be compiling and delivering an annual budget and conduct supplier evaluation reviews.
You will be CIPS qualified with at least 3-5 years experience in a senior purchasing role within the manufacturing or engineering environment. Experience of budget planning and reporting, project management, and global sourcing is required to be successful in this role. You will need to have strong problem solving skills and advanced negotiation techniques. Knowledge of inventory management and strong communication skills are also needed.
