Transport & Development Planning - Business Lead (Wakefield)

Salary: £50k-£70k depending on experience

Winning work from private developer clients but not receiving recognition or the chance to step up? This opportunity will allow you to take the spotlight, progress your career and shape a business.

You will be leading a small team of established transport planners that already successfully deliver transport planning services to development planning projects across the UK, assisting private sector clients with securing planning permission that unlocks the developments of the future.

Based in Wakefield but operating UK wide, TPS Transport Consultants (you can call them TPS) are known for three main specialisms. Detailed and innovative travel planning, sustainable transport solutions and development planning.

Continued success across all three areas of the business and increased demand from their clients has led the Directors to create a realistic 10 year business plan that will see the business evolve, grow sustainably and take their success to a new level.

This blueprint has created a unique opportunity for a transport planner with 8-15 years experience across development planning, particularly with private sector developers, to take the helm and have ownership and responsibility for leading the development planning business unit.

No risk! We aren't looking for someone to come in and grow a new business scratch and have the pressure of winning work. TPS already have an impressive client portfolio and streams of repeat business. Your challenge is to continue the current success, cement the repeat business, whilst honing your client facing skills and growing the business organically/long term.

They are a small business, with a strong reputation and brand, but more importantly has that warm feel that only an independent business can.
