Business Development Manager
North of England (field based)

Meridian are currently recruiting for a well-respected, progressive and market leading Technology company. The company is seeking a new Business Development Manager to join their team during a period of growth. The successful candidate would spend a significant amount of time in the field covering with some home based working included. Primarily a new business role, the Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for opening up new opportunities and selling a market leading product into NHS Trusts, Local Government and Housing Associations.

Role Duties:
  • Developing a plan to achieve target in their region, to include: The NHS Trusts, local authorities and housing associations to target
  • The sales strategy to win
  • The approach Identifying suitable opportunities in the region by active lead generation including Personal contacts, Cold calling, CCS Frameworks, OJEU notices, Portals & Other procurement activity
  • Creating a pipeline of opportunities
  • Driving those opportunities through the pipeline to closure
  • Meeting agreed KPI’s

Requirements:
 
  • 5 years solution sales into Local Government and or Housing Associations
  • Knowledge of government procurement regulations and practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent presentational and negotiation skills
  • Technically astute
  • Proven ability to open new business
Role Overview
  • Permanent role 
  • Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
  • Hours are 08:30- 17:30
  • Previous sales into Local Government, Housing associations or NHS trusts essential
  • Induction, training, and support for new team member will be provided
