Automation Engineer (Graduate)
Our client is a British manufacturer of engineered components who supply a variety of industrial, automotive and aerospace clients, and they have an exciting opportunity for an Automation Engineer to join the engineering team. Components built by NDE are all custom made for the process and require a high level of custom-built equipment to operate. Assembly, test, and process flow equipment is designed in house by our small team of engineers, and it is within this team we have an opening for a highly enthusiastic individual that will be looking to grow and progress with the business.  You will ideally be an Engineering Graduate with a keen interest in automation and the ability to programme systems to the advantage of the business. 

Job Responsibilities:
  • Programming experience in Visual basic or similar systems
  • PLC programming development ideally using Omron, Siemens or similar for initial process design right through to implementation and test
  • Experience with software setup and development ideally for electrical test equipment
  • Experience with setup of electrical hardware ideally for test and automation equipment
  • Advanced level methodical fault findingWell-practiced at reading/understanding and documenting technical drawings and wiring schematics
Skills Required:

Personal Attributes:

  • HNC/HND with minimum three years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
