ASSISTANT PRODUCTION MANAGER

Located on the River Humber, our prestigious client is a Vehicle Enhancement Centre where vehicles are prepared for customer handover and commercial vehicles are built to fleet customers' specifications.
The company is currently embarking on a period of significant growth and due to this a position for an experienced Production Manager has arisen.
We are looking for an Assistant Production Manager at degree level (technical or Engineering discipline) with experience preferably within the Automotive industry.
Purpose of the role:
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will assist with all operational matters ensuring the efficiency and success of the facility.
Duties of the Assistant Production Manager will include but are not limited to:
- Assisting in making sure that all operational deliverables and customers' requirements are planned properly and that targets are efficiently met.
- Ensuring that all work is carried out in line with customer requirements, legislation, company policies, procedures and standards with a key focus on quality and health and safety
As the successful Assistant Production Manager you will be the main customer contact so you will be an excellent communicator with a professional approach.
You will be a natural problem solver always striving for continuous improvement of processes for efficiency and cost control.
To be considered for the role of Assistant Production Manager you will have excellent IT skills, be educated to degree level in a technical or engineering discipline and possess strong management skills in both people management and operational / process aspects.
