The Company:

Are you a Qualified or part qualified Accountant looking for a 6 Month contract?

You will have previous experience of Finance Information Systems Management and excellent knowledge of ERP systems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To provide line management and leadership for Sales and Purchase Ledgers
  • Maintain and control the ERP system for all financial processes
  • Prepare month end and quarterly reports
  • Provide information to Treasury to enable management of cash-flow
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budget, monitoring variances and drawing up corrective plans with senior managers
  • Control of international VAT- import, duty and fiscal representation processes as well as service providers and all other returns to the German tax authorities
  • Control and timely completion of all payments
  • Control of sales, purchase and general cost ledgers
  • Control of accounts receivable
  • Control of external payroll providers
  • Conduct customer credit checks, setting credit limits and monitoring aged debts
  • Manage exchange rate fluctuation hedges
  • Support the preparation of annual statutory accounts in conjunction with the auditors
  • Provide information for corporation tax returns to the Company's external advisors

Preferred Skills:

  • A Qualified/ part qualified Accountant with experience in fulfilling the complete range of financial management processes, preferably within an international trading environment.
  • Previous experience of Finance Information Systems Management is essential, in which you will have gained knowledge of ERP system usage
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound problem solving skills and use of initiative.
  • Experience in effectively managing a small team.
  • Strong competency in Excel.

Personal Attributes:

  • Strong personal organisation skills are required with experience in meeting regular accounting deadlines.

Working Hours: 8.00 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Thursday, 8.00 am to 1.20 pm Friday
