Are you a part qualified Accountant with the experience to have sole responsibility for the accounting function of a UK merchandise manufacturer based near Bromyard? Working 9-5 Monday to Friday for this small yet award winning and profitable team plus annual bonus, benefits and exciting opportunities!
As Accountant you will report into the MD and will be the sole accountant for the company supported by external accountants, company directors and senior management. You will have responsibility for all day to day financial tasks including VAT returns, payroll and presenting monthly profit and loss reports to the business. You will have a broad knowledge of accounting as you will cover POs and accounts payable, sales accounting and credit control, cash and banking administration, payroll, preparing and reconciling ledger balance as well as completing and submitting VAT returns.
This is a permanent role with a salary of approx. £25,000 per annum although this is negotiable based on experience.
We would like to hear from applicants with previous experience as an Accountant in a broad accounting role with AAT Level 4 or similar and a background in manufacturing is required. You will have excellent knowledge of Sage Accounts and Sage Payroll as well as Excel. Good mathematical and problem solving skills are required along with a thorough methodical and accurate approach to your work.
