Physical Security Coordinator
Based on site at a Leading Aerospace manufacture in Yeovil, Meridian Business Support are recruiting a Physical Security Coordinator on a permanent basis. The physical security coordinator is responsible to the Site Security Manager for the coordination and control of all aspects of physical security, ensuring compliance with National Security Regulations. Key Responsibility Areas Contribute to the continuous evaluation of the manned guarding provision through their KPI's and contract reviews, supporting the Head of Security. Manage and be the point of contract for all technical security systems for physical security; CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Detection System (IDS), Bold Fire. Coordinate any 'additional' manned guarding requests from the business. Be the point of contact on Incident Management for the Department, training and ensuring all staff know their duties in support of the company Emergency Preparedness Plan and supporting emergency plans including the Company Emergency Call Out process. Support the Site Security Manager as an alternate tactical representative for the Emergency Control Centre in a company emergency incident. Provide produce Travel Risk assessments and Travel Security Advice to the business. Provide an effective and professional service to both internal and external customers, being the point of contact for all physical security enquires. Liaise with other companies and agencies in order to facilitate contractual compliance. Maintain an effective service and an up to date electronic filing system for all security information/registers entrusted to you. Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required Experienced team leader with a significant background in a security environment. Practical experience and ability to undertake Security Risk Assessments and have a sound knowledge of the Principles of Physical Security measures. Good written/ verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate confidently at all levels. Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team and/or on own initiative.
