The Transport and Infrastructure division has operated at Meridian for over 14 years. In that time we have advised companies from small, independent advisory consultancies to government bodies and organisations on their recruitment and retention strategy across the world.
We are widely regarded as the number one go to consultancy to help source and build teams across all modes of front end transport planning, advisory, design and delivery. Our network spans the UK, Europe, Middle East, SE Asia and Australasia, and we pride ourselves on being ahead of the curve on the future of the market and the innovations happening within it.
The candidates we work with range from graduate entry level to board level directors and country leads. We have worked on schemes such as Crossrail, Qatar2022, 2020 Expo, London Underground Upgrade, Melbourne Metro and HS2. We work with candidates to fully understand their goals and ambitions and can advise on the very best opportunities at any given time. Working directly with the senior level decision makers we can ensure a smooth, introductory service, process and package negotiation which works in the best interests of the candidate, client and the market itself.
The mobility market is changing at its fastest ever rate. With the dawn of Autonomous and Connected Vehicles, MaaS and Intelligent Mobility we are always wanting to talk to anyone who shares the same interests in these topics and shape the future of transportation.

Transport Strategy Lead
New South Wales, Australia
Making a Place Transport Planners, be they in the private or public sector, strive to achieve one thing: to make a difference to the way in which people move from A to B. The pinnacle of which will always be to create a place where businesses and families and schools and living can flourish without having to be tied to a car. Which, depending on where you live, has always been number one. If you had a clean slate and were working with a region such as a town or a city, how would you propose an integrated transport system that wasn't only city specific but inter-city and inter-state? How would you tie in Active Travel to a public transport network which comprised of LRT, BRT, Autonomous systems and MaaS? How would you build in a freight strategy and a surface access strategy to the major hubs such as the local airport or major rail interchanges? Further to this and perhaps most importantly, since it could never get off the ground otherwise, how would this system unlock the huge economic benefits to developers, businesses and stakeholders, not just for the immediate city, but the state in which it sits and the country more widely? Can you demonstrate why we need to invest now to reap the dividends later by attracting business and population to this place? Transport Planners strive to create, to innovate, to embrace the revolutions that are happening in the sector. Places are being made. The foundations of which are focused on strategic thinking and empirical based thought: forecasts, maths, models. The numbers need to work, but if they do then a place can be made which encourages more investment, attracts the attention of people who may have looked elsewhere. It grows. It competes. It thrives. And most importantly it does so without necessarily getting into a car which lays idle 90% of the time and pollutes whenever it isn't. As a Transport Planner, you have been involved in some of the above. You may have already helped urban centres unlock their potential. You will have advised politicians and public transport operators and developers. You will have unlocked the huge potential that our movement data provides. And if you have and if you want to do it on a big scale for one of the most important areas of New South Wales in Australia, then I might be able to help. I am looking for strategists and innovators and people who know their numbers. I am working with forward thinkers who want to break the mould. I need people who can speak coherently at the highest level to advise and to influence. If you think this is you, and you are considering making a difference to both your own career and the lives of hundreds of thousands of other people, then give me a call. This is a senior level opportunity in NSW. And it's very interesting. So interesting, in fact, that this advert even has a title...
