Purchase Ledger Clerk - Middlesbrough or Sunderland Meridian Business Support is looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk for one of our construction clients to be based in either Middlesbrough or Sunderland. Role: Process invoices and credit notes on a daily basis. Complete fortnightly supplier payments schedules in preparation for the Purchase Ledger Manager processing the payment run. Processing new supplier accounts. Promptly and effectively deal with supplier queries, acting as a contact point for queries that come from other sites. Ensuring the appropriate authorisations is gained prior to payment of invoices in line with group policy. Liaising with both suppliers and the sites to obtain outstanding invoices. Ensure month end reconciliation process is completed on time. Completing statement reconciliation on a monthly basis. Requirements: Sage experience essential (CIS) Have experience of using different accounting packages (desirable) 2 years experience as a purchase ledger and be able to demonstrate where you have managed a high volume workloads. Have previous experience in a high volume, fast paced environment. Quantity Surveyor (Mechanical) - Pembrokeshire My client is a leader in delivering complex projects in energy and process sectors. They require Quantity Surveyor for their combined heat and power co-generation project in Pembrokeshire. Role: Ensure good working relationships with clients ensuring that client correspondence is prepared in a professional manner. Monitor progress on site ensure that where applicable claims for recovery of loss and expense are submitted on time and agreed with client. Carry out monthly measure on site and prepare monthly applications to include all values relating to labour materials management, plant and equipment and escalation. Highlight to the Commercial Manager areas in which target cost and sales are not being achieved by means of a weekly reports. Comply with company procedures in relation to commercial matters. To ensure participation in handover of construction meetings for any and all projects concerned. Ensure maximum profitability on projects under control by pro-actively approaching your duties and exercising commercial acumen. Prepare cash flows and update as necessary - analyse timing of sales and costs. Requirements: Degree educated QS with 10 years experience ideally in Power Generation. Technical and practical knowledge of all phases of contract development and close-out. Knowledgeable of current industry trends and technical developments. Strong working knowledge of administering FIDIC. English language spoken and written essential.
