Responsibilities:
Based in a beautiful semi-rural location on the outskirts of the Cotswolds, my client, an international business, are looking for a Finance Assistant who is either part qualified or qualified by experience to join their Oxfordshire office. You will be supporting the financial controller, who is based in Leeds, in all aspects of day to day ledger processing and Financial Accounting, including month end processing and reporting. To manage to the day to day activities in relation to the vendor ledger to ensure timely processing of invoices and vendor payments Process employee expenses and mileage returns and general management and administration of the online expenses system. To deal with accounting queries both internal and external in a timely and professional manner. To keep accurate accounting records and files for year-end audit purposes. To work closely with the Auditors at year end to ensure year end timescales are achieved in line with Group Reporting. Undertake and maintain a working knowledge of the SAP system in the areas relating to your role. This position would suit a forward thinking, proactive individual who has a keen eye for detail and an aptitude for streamlining and improving processes. You will be working as part of a small office, so team work and a flexible approach to your duties in crucial. This is a full time position working 8am - 5pm however, 4 days may also be considered.
