Rexel are now recruiting for multiple positions at their new state-of-the-art, multi-million-pound distribution centre in Aylesbury!

Rexel's new site!

Rexel UK, one of the country’s leading electrical distributors and solution providers, will be opening a new state-of-the-art, multi-million-pound distribution centre (DC) in Spring 2023.

Rexel Group, the parent of Rexel UK and based in Paris, has made the investment with a firm strategy to further strengthen and grow its supply chain capabilities. By building a new dedicated facility that can serve as a logistics and distribution hub, Rexel is better able to support customers, especially across London, the South East and the South West.

Located in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, the new structure spans an impressive 186,000 sq. ft and will boast the latest in robotic innovation, to speed up the process of order to dispatch.

Once complete, it is expected to create up to 150 new jobs in Aylesbury and will support Rexel and Denmans’ existing 18 hubs and 284 branches. ​

About the new site, Rexel UK's CEO, Edgar Aponte said:

"Whilst we are building a facility with a focus on digital innovation, using the best in class robotics and automation, nothing can replace the importance of customer interaction, which will remain at the heart of our business.

This means the ‘final mile’ delivery, will be made by our own local branch vans and hubs.

“We all know wholesale is a fast-paced world. The need for speed, flexibility and agility in the market is higher than ever before, so whilst we have designed a facility to meet the changing market needs, we will never forget the local touch."

Induction & training

All of Rexel's new recruits receive a structured, focused induction. This covers Core Skills Training – such as Health & Safety, Product Knowledge, Legislation, and training on our computer systems. This is carried out with the support of the Line Manager to ensure new employees are ‘set-up to succeed’.

Further development training offered includes Sales and Customer Service Training and Management & Leadership Skills, both with support from our online Rexel Academy. Training courses from electrical equipment suppliers can also form part of employees learning.

Your development

Rexel believes passionately that training their people will help them succeed. Their in-house training teams cover all aspects of their current role, along with personal and professional development.

They also have our Rexel Academy, a corporate university designed as a digital learning platform in e-learning format and made accessible to all their people.
