Disability Assessor - Candidate Testimonial
Interested in becoming a Disability Assessor but not sure it the right job for you? Well don't just take our word for it, here is a testimonial for someone we placed as a Disability Assessor last year.
I have nothing but praise for Meridian Business Support and in particular the recruitment consultant who worked with me, Samantha Hughes. Samantha found me on Linked in and reached out in a professional manner that demonstrated she had read my profile and this prompted me to respond to her where I ignored so many other similar messages.
I found Samantha, who represented Meridian Business Support, to be polite, knowledgeable about her industry and the role she was recruiting for. She was not pushy but always got back in touch when she said she would. I waited over 6 months before deciding to apply for the role and even though there was no certainty that I would proceed, Samantha could not have been more helpful and spoke with me whenever I requested contact.
Upon application, Samantha talked me through the process and gave me advice and support on best CV sites as mine was several years old. Each stage of the application was discussed in advance, opportunity given to ask questions and all the resources needed were emailed so we didn’t even have to look them up! Prior to each assessment, Samantha booked in time to ensure we understood what was expected of us and what we needed to do to achieve those expectations. We had a mock interview – something I have never been offered by a recruitment company and I can say, hand on heart, that without the support and diligence of Samantha, combined with her extensive knowledge of the role that I would not have got through the recruitment process.
Samantha, and in turn, Meridian Business Support, intimately understood the demographic of the pool they were recruiting from and the gap that comes from changing roles from public sector/health services to a private commercial business. The whole process was seamless and worked towards closing that gap and I was delighted to be offered a role in a company that gives me a great deal of pleasure working for; something that would not be the case if it wasn’t for Samantha.
I have had the pleasure of speaking to some of Samantha’s colleagues on the rare occasions she hasn’t been available and have found them equally polite and affable.
A year ago, I was miserable, lonely as a bank nurse and struggling with managing the needs of the family with work. I now work from home with a few days in the office as needed by demands of business; I can take my children to school and put them to bed every night. I can be there for them in a way that was impossible to manage on a shift rota. I have a salary that is competitive with benefits on top. I couldn’t be happier, and it is all thanks to Samantha Hughes and Meridian Business Support.
