NMC Revalidation Report Shows Successful September Surge
Over 100,000 nurses and midwives have revalidated since the new process was introduced earlier this year, according to the second quarterly report released by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
September saw the largest number of nurses and midwives due to go through the process in a single month, with more than 51,000 due to revalidate. Though a challenge, the month was a success with 95% of nurses and midwives completing their revalidation.
Revalidation was introduced in April this year as the new process that nurses, midwives and employees need to go through in order to demonstrate that they are practising safely and effectively in line with the code.
