How to apply 

Our recruitment process is straight forward and consists of 5 stages: 


Once you have found a job vacancy at Meridian Business Support which is right for you, please submit your CV online. Should you experience any difficulty submitting your CV or have a general recruitment enquiry, please contact the Talent Acquisition team on 0161 929 3855. 

Telephone interview 

If you are shortlisted, our Talent Acquisition team will contact you to take part in a short telephone interview. This will be an opportunity for you to tell us more about yourself and to answer some questions based around your work experience and competency for the role. Your suitability for the role will be evaluated against criteria such as tone of voice, enthusiasm and communication skills. If you are successful after this stage, you will be invited along to meet the hiring manager. 

First stage interview 

At the first stage interview you will meet with the hiring manager, where you will have the opportunity to discuss your experience in detail. You will also have an opportunity to see the branch or department where you will be working and get a feel for the working environment. If you are successful after this stage, you will be invited along to meet the Director or Regional Manager responsible for the business area. 

Second stage interview 

This is your time to shine. At the second stage interview you will meet with the Director or Regional Manager responsible for the branch or department you will be working in. You will be taken through a competency based interview which is focused on our Behaviours and Values and how you have demonstrated them in previous roles using the STAR technique. After your second stage interview you will be provided with feedback on how you preformed throughout the interview which may lead to a conditional job offer being made to you. 

Some management and support vacancies may also require additional activities such as group exercises, preparing an individual presentation and/or psychometric testing. 

Pre-employment screening 

Once you have successfully passed our interview process our pre-employment screening process must be completed before we can confirm your start date. References will be required from you covering a 3 year period and it is always advisable to contact your referees in advance to let them know that Meridian Business Support will be contacting them to obtain an employment reference to speed to process up for you.
