Ward clerk Jobs in Patchway
Job Description
As a ward clerk working in a clinic or health centre, you'll have a lot of contact with patients and their relatives and carers. You may also have contact with healthcare professionals including nurses and doctors. You will greet people when they come in, look after medical records and test results, answer the phone, general administration. Often the ward clerk relays information from medical teams, for example updating relatives when someone has been brought in as an emergency.

Qualifications
There are no set entry requirements to become a clerk. Employers usually expect good literacy, numeracy and IT skills. They may ask for GCSEs or equivalent qualifications. For some jobs, employers may ask for other skills or qualifications such as word processing or data entry.
Patchway is a town in South Gloucestershire, England, situated 10 km (6.2 mi) north-north west of central Bristol. The town is a housing overflow for Bristol being contiguous to Bristol's urban area and is often regarded as a large outer suburb. Nearby are the other Bristol satellite towns of Filton and Bradley Stoke. Patchway is twinned with Clermont l'Herault, France, and Gauting, Germany. It was established as a civil parish in 1953, becoming separate from the parish of nearby Almondsbury. It is surrounded by a main M road (M4) and the A38 (Gloucester Rd) making it very accessible via road vehicles. In addition, Patchy has its own train station called Patchway Train Station.
