Job Description
As a ward clerk working in a clinic or health centre, you'll have a lot of contact with patients and their relatives and carers. You may also have contact with healthcare professionals including nurses and doctors. You will greet people when they come in, look after medical records and test results, answer the phone, general administration. Often the ward clerk relays information from medical teams, for example updating relatives when someone has been brought in as an emergency.

Qualifications
There are no set entry requirements to become a clerk. Employers usually expect good literacy, numeracy and IT skills. They may ask for GCSEs or equivalent qualifications. For some jobs, employers may ask for other skills or qualifications such as word processing or data entry.
Magor is a large village in Monmouthshire, south east Wales, about 9 miles (14 km) west of Chepstow and about 9 miles (14 km) east of the city of Newport. It lies on the Caldicot Levels beside the Severn Estuary, and is in the community of Magor with Undy. Magor lies close to the M4 motorway.[2] There is a nearby motorway service area sharing its name and it is within the commuter belts of Newport, Bristol and Cardiff. Furthermore, in the neighbouring town called Ifton, there is a train staion situated right next to the B4245 road that leads right into Magor, making it very easily accessible via train.
