Sales Manager

Our client requires a Sales Manager with previous experience in the fresh produce/ food industry to join their growing team based in Worcestershire.
This is a new role, and you will be responsible for sourcing, pricing, ranging and sales activity for the company, managing all customer and supplier relationships, seek new business and identify opportunities to increase profitability. You will also be managing a small trading team of 5, so will need to guide and monitor these individuals to ensure they increase sales for the whole division. Reporting into the Managing Director, you will be expected to report monthly/ annual figures and forecasts as well as manage your own budget.
It is essential that you have recent sales management experience at a senior level with both sales and trading ability, ideally with fresh produce industry experience, although those from a chilled food, frozen food or catering background will be considered. It is essential that you have previous people management skills, with strong negotiation skills, a positive can-do attitude with good PC skills especially Excel (Intermediate or above). It would be advantageous if you speak another language, French or Spanish, however this is not essential.
This is a new role so it is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking for a new challenge within a progressive company. Some travel may be required.
