Meridian's South Yorkshire based client has an immediate requirement for a Maintenance Electrician working in North Sheffield.
Duties will include but are not limited:
1.Fault-finding, repair and maintenance: Perform a variety of all maintenance and repair work on static machinery. Advise the Engineering Director of significant breakdowns.
2.Planning: Carry out activity according to scheduled plans, organise and prioritise routine jobs. Ensure adequate supplies are carried for routine work and for common identified failure modes. Advise the Engineering Director of any delays to planned activities.
3.Safety: Adhere to safe working practices at all times. Assist in the enforcement of safe working practices and conditions. Ensure the safe operational condition of plant and machinery. Advise the Engineering Director of any unsafe conditions encountered. Ensure the safe working of maintenance subcontractors when on site. Ensure adherence to legislative requirements.
4.Record keeping: Ensure that records of activity are kept in the prescribed manner and are accurate for data analysis purposes. Ensure that machine records and manuals etc are accessible and are in good working order. Provide reports on maintenance work activity as required to the Engineering Director.
Shifts: Per week: 2 mornings; 2 afternoons; 2 nights
